The Weekend Phoenix Montréal Contest (also known as WPMtl or the Contest) is a celebration of leather, latex, and associated fetish cultures, while highlighting the values of inclusivity, respect, and pride within the 2SLGBTQ2+ community.
As a contestant, you will embody the ideals of kink, consent, and self-expression, helping to create a welcoming space for all enthusiasts in the Montréal community.
a) Application Deadline: The deadline for registration is September 12, 2025. The organizing committee reserves the right to modify this date without notice.
b) Contest Weekend: October 9–13, 2025
c) Complete and submit the official application form. All application documents must be submitted no later than September 12, 2025.
d) A minimum of two valid applications per category is required for that category’s title to be contested.
a) Contestants must be at least 18 years old on the date they sign the registration documents.
b) Contestants must identify as part of the 2SLGBTQ2+ community.
c) Contestants must reside in the Greater Montréal Area.
d) Contestants must be able to communicate in French and/or English.
e) Category Selection
i) Monsieur Cuir Montréal candidates must identify as male.
ii) Madame Cuir Montréal candidates must identify as female.
iii) MX Cuir Montréal candidates must identify as non-binary.
iv) Madame Cuir Montréal candidates must identify as female.
f) A contestant may only apply to one category per contest edition.
g) Board members of the Club Cuir Latex Phoenix de Montréal and the Contest Organizing Committee are not eligible to participate during their term.
h) Individuals with financial sponsorship agreements related to the contest are also ineligible.
i) Contestants are encouraged to self-fund. While sponsorship from businesses, clubs, or organizations is welcome, they must not be visibly promoted during events or contest trials.
j) Contestants must attend and participate in all official contest events and accept the decisions made by the official panel of judges.A contestant may only apply to one category per contest edition.
a) Community Engagement: Winners must participate in various 2SLGBTQ2+ community events in Montréal as a representative of their title throughout their reign, including the next edition of WPMtl.
b) Social Media Presence: A strong social media presence is encouraged to keep the public informed and connected. Titleholders may manage one or more social media accounts to document their activities. The marketing team is available to support them in developing their communication strategy.
c) Fundraising: Titleholders must organize or participate in at least two fundraising events — one in support of the next WPMtl edition, and another for a charity or organization of their choice.
i) Official Title Names: In English and any other language, the official title names remain in
French; the words Monsieur, Madame, Cuir, and Latex are not translated, and the
acute accent in “Montréal” must always be used.
d) Conduct: Titleholders must maintain high standards of behavior. Illegal activity is strictly prohibited. Titleholders may not engage in personal commercial ventures or use their title for personal gain during their mandate.
e) Sash Maintenance: Titleholders are responsible for keeping their sash in good condition. The organizing committee retains ownership of the sash for the duration of the mandate. In the case of loss or theft, the titleholder must replace it or raise funds for a replacement.
a) Respect: Contestants and titleholders must treat fellow contestants, volunteers, judges, and the public with respect, professionalism, and dignity. Vulgarity, nudity, intoxication, drug use, and sexual acts are strictly prohibited.
b) Fair Play: Any form of cheating, including vote-buying or judge solicitation, will result in immediate disqualification.
c) Non-Commercial Use: The titleholder may not profit commercially from their title without prior written consent from the contest organizers.
d) Title Revocation: The committee may recommend title revocation to the Phoenix board if a winner violates these rules. The titleholder must return their sash immediately upon revocation.
e) Any violation of these rules will result in disqualification without appeal.
a) Accepting prizes and honoring sponsors is essential. Contestants and titleholders must accept all prizes and gifts as-is. Prizes are non-exchangeable and non-transferable. Refusing a prize is considered a violation of the rules.
a) The Committee operates voluntarily and collaboratively to uphold the mission and vision of the Contest.
b) It organizes WPMtl and all related events.
c) It supports the titleholders during their mandate in achieving their projects and ambassadorial duties.
d) It serves as the point of contact for sponsorships and partnerships during the contest and titleholder’s term.

Winning a title is more than wearing a sash — it’s an opportunity to promote the leather and latex community, to represent shared values, and to help them thrive in a positive and inclusive space.
